Book Club

Book Club is a literary discussion group for anyone and everyone! All are welcome: readers and those who want to be readers. We love new members! In book club, members choose everything: meeting times, readings, discussion topics, etc... We try to meet regularly according to member's schedules to share what we have read and discuss what's next. 
 Debate Club

Tuesdays from 2:30-3:30pm
 The WHS Debate Club gives students an opportunity to discuss current events, school and community issues as well as national affairs in a structured setting.  Members learn the formal art of disputing by participating in various activities including exploring various formats of debate, considering argumentative techniques, researching issues, considering both sides of an issue, and creating formal arguments. 

French National Honor Society

Meets monthly or semi-monthly on Friday mornings in room G303
The FHS offers peer tutoring for students and maintains the page “All Things French" on Unified Classroom which provides links to various French topics, study guides, and quizlets for French 1,2, and 3. The FHS also offers a French breakfast each semester for all French students. The mission of the FHS is to promote the French language and culture to the WHS community and beyond.
Literary Magazine
 Dr. Ward
 Literary Magazine is a place to publish original student work. Our mission is to provide a medium to disseminated original photographs, poems, op-ed pieces, illustrations, personal essays, short stories and poems by students at WIndham High School. We try to publish two editions of the Literary Magazine each school year on a different theme. We mostly communicate via email but we also meet once a month to plan the theme and layout of the upcoming edition. We encourage students to submit pieces even if they are not able to make the meetings! Please email me if you would like to see the last edition of Literary Magazine!
 Mr. Taddonio - Band Room
 The WHS Concert Band is compromised of students in grades 9-12. Students learn and practice all musical skills required for high-level performance in the Concert Band Context.
 Mr. Taddonio - Band Room
This class is a group of high-achieving music students grades 9-12 who attain membership through audition. Members of the group learn the finer points of professional jazz style in the "big band" and "jazz combo" contexts. 
JagRoar Newspaper

Mondays at 2:30 in F-318
The student-run JagRoar Newspaper gives a voice to Windham students! Club members publish monthly editions by taking on positions in reporting, photography, editing, layout and business, working as a team to organize and collaborate for success. Each edition covers news and information that is important to the WHS student body. Topics include breaking news, features, sports, activities and opinions.
WHS Theatre Company

Mon, Tues,Thurs from 2:30-4:00pm 
 The WHS Theatre Company includes students filling the roles of actors, designers, directors, singers, dancers, and technicians in order to produce three shows every year. These shows include a straight play, a musical, and a Senior directed show. The WHS Theatre Company works to allow students to gain skills and experiences in the multifaceted art of theatre while also cultivating a love of the art form within WHS and the Windham community.

The Yearbook Club staff commits to capturing the memories of each school year in pictures, writing, and design to create a quality yearbook that the WHS community will cherish for the rest of their lives. Students learn about design, photography, school activities, marketing, and teamwork.

 Dance Team
 Ms. Micalizzi
Dance Team meets every Monday after school for practices on the stage. The WHS Dance Team was created to promote school spirit and to highlight all of the great dancers we have at our school! At practices, we learn routines and prepare for upcoming performances at school and community events.
Ms. Sampson
Every Thursday from 2:30-3:30 in G301
The Gay-Straight Alliance Club serves as a safe space for LGBTQ+ students and their allies.  We meet on a weekly basis to: work to make WHS a more inclusive community, plan fundraising events like art shows, plan fun events like the annual Pride Prom and potluck dinners, discuss important political and curricular issues, and hang out with one another in a fun, safe, accepting space! 
Marine Science Team

Students in the Marine Science Team spend time preparing for the Nor'easter Bowl by learning as much as they can about the oceans, rivers and just about anything water related.
