We are delighted to have such amazingly talented Fine Arts students and staff as they continue to add a number of achievements to their portfolio.

On Friday, January 12, 2018, the Windham High School Bands and Choirs will be hosting their very own concert at Symphony Hall in Boston, Massachusetts. This storied venue, home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Boston Pops, will be holding a unique concert featuring Windham High School music ensembles on this evening. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students and community to showcase Windham's musical talents in the most legendary music venue in New England. Tickets will soon be available for purchase through Symphony Hall’s box office and we hope you can join this performance to support our young musicians through this incredible journey.

WHS Students Emma Bursell, Bridget Ergin and Montserrat Turriza have been accepted into the High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall. They will travel to New York City in February to rehearse and perform under master conductors and have the opportunity to meet other like-minded musicians from around the world. Though much of their time will be focused on performance preparation, these students will also be able to experience the best of the sights and the performance arts in New York City.

In addition, the following students have earned All-State Honors in Band, Orchestra and Mixed Chorus. Congratulations to the following:

  • Lindsey Brayer
  • Chris Burke
  • Emma Bursell
  • Ian Chin
  • Jeff Doucette
  • Bellana Driscoll
  • Isabelle Eterian
  • Brandon Jacobs
  • Kayla Joyce
  • Grace St. Laurent
  • Montserrat Turriza
  • Nicole Zhou
  • Shanni Zhou

Lastly, don’t forget you have the opportunity to see their talent next week at Windham High School as the band will be performing on December 13 at 7pm and chorus will be performing on December 14 at 7pm.
