The Grades 7-12 Family and Consumer Science (FCS) curriculum was approved at the February 15 School Board meeting. The curriculum is a reflection of the hard-work of the district's FCS department including Kay Shoubash, Caleigh Murphy, and Jan Robbins. The district is fortunate to have a middle and high school FCS program that develops students’ knowledge and skills in managing foods and nutrition; cultural aspects of food; consumer financial literacy; child growth and development; housing and interior design; textiles, fashion and apparel, while also empowering individuals across their lifespan to manage the challenges of living and working in a diverse, global society.
